I am pretty much a Pandora FREAK! I find myself turning it on and rockin' out all the time. When I stay after school, I turn on my loud speaker and bust out some singing. Thank goodness my students don't see it :)
I really love/think/want/need spring brink to be two weeks. What do you think?
My advice comes to you from my university days. The president of the university told us to choose to be extraordinary. I, like most college students, kind of blew off that advice. It has taken me 5 years to realize that maybe that president was on to something. I try to use any opportunity I can to reinforce the idea of "being extraordinary is a choice" to my 10 and 11 year olds in my classroom.
Now for the BIG, HUGE, EXCITING news!!
I finished my Common Core Aligned Poetry Unit for 4th and 5th grades! It is called "Paintin' a Picture with Poetry" and it is going to rock your world! It comes in both color and printer friendly versions and has some fabulous resources for comparing similar topics, comparing multimedia/visual representation, summarizing, comparing themes, etc. Don't wait ANY longer! Check it out at my Teacher's Pay Teachers Store
I want to give a MAJOR shout out to 2nd Grade Stuff for all of her knowledge and patience with me and I officially uploaded my first unit! Thanks, girl! You are such a great teacher, even to grown adults! :)
Thanks, ya'll for stopping by! Now I need to blog HOP a little more :)
I love pandora too! When I can't bring my ipod to the gym, I turn on the workout station at home and exercise that way! ;)

Yes, I think a 2 week spring break would be wonderful! I'm half-way through my break right now and could definitely use one more week! :) Congrats on getting that unit done! Looks like a lot of work, but I bet that hard work pays off. :)

Spring break... isn't it great? I hope your relaxing and not working too much! Wouldn't it be nice if we had 0 work? If that were the case we wouldn't be doing the good job that we are as teachers! You have a new follower :)

Sarah, yes, Pandora is a necessity for survival at the gym! Ha!
ReplyDeleteMolly, I have been enjoying the sleeping in part of Spring Break! Oh yes, and the staying up late is fun too!
Mary, Thanks! I use it with my kiddos and it went so well, I hope people can get as much use out of it as I did.
Melissa, I have to remind my boyfriend that often! If I don't do ANYTHING on Spring break, that just means I'll be that much more behind when I get back! AY-YI-YI! :)
Beth, I ended up getting a Dell and am really starting to love it. Windows 8 is pretty awesome and so is Microsoft 2013. So no complaints here :)
Hi Lauren :)
ReplyDeleteYou have the cutest blog. I found it while checking out Farley's link up again. I am redoing my blog and just love the bright colors in yours!
