July Currently

Holy Smokes! How am I so late this month with linking up with Farley? How is it already the 4th of July? This summer has just flown by. Here is what I have going on Currently, in July :)

I don't know if it is just because I am an adult now or what, but I never remember people being this insane about fireworks. Seriously, slow your role people. I am all about some patriotism, but this fireworks business is borderline crazy. I literally could not pull into my subdivision tonight because people were shooting fireworks off in the middle of my road. Perfect.

My classroom is all set up! I have a writing bulletin board I need to put up and my welcome bulletin board in the hallway, but everything has its new home and my cabinets are organized. Have I mentioned I am bumping down to 2nd grade? Yes, this meant moving classrooms and organizing my personal teaching stuff so that it was age appropriate for my new babies. I am excited to be done with the actual set up part because I am going to get acquainted with all new standards and we are getting a new reading series this year. Sheww. Lots to learn.

I am thinking about the laundry that needs to get done before we leave tomorrow for the lake. I hate coming home to dirty laundry while we have been away for a few days so I better get it together in the next 12 hours! It's so worth it though, because I LOVE getting away for the weekend and heading to the lake with our friends!

I was catching up on emails and realizing with professional developments and such, my summer is really winding down already. So, I vow to enjoy these last couple weeks the best that I can. There is so much sun to be soaked up!

At the beginning of the summer, I started a workout routine and was eating so much better. I lost some weight and just really started feeling better. Then this thing called family vacation happened. Yeah, that happened and I have been off track since. I MUST get back into routine so that school can slide right into my work out schedule.

I am pretty new to the TPT selling world. I have a few products out there in my little store. I have been very intentional on the products I create. If I wouldn't use the product in my classroom, I tend to stay away from the idea. When I was teaching 5th grade, I really had to be creative on lesson planning and activities because we were so limited on time. So, I felt like I needed to kill two birds with one stone by doing some cross curricular units. I am finishing up one and it should be up by next week. Get excited!

If you haven't done so already, take the time to link up with Farley. I look forward to linking up with her monthly Currently!
