Getting Aquainted Linky Party

Gosh! Two linky parties in one week! I love linky parties because I feel like I get the inside scoop and it makes all my Bloggy buddies come to life!

You know when you were little and you saw your teacher in the grocery store and you were so confused? You know, cause they LIVE at school?! That's how I feel about Linky parties.. like what the?! These people are REAL! They don't LIVE at school! Ha!

I am linking up with Latoya over at Flying into First Grade to share some of my favorite things!

Favorite Place to Shop

TJ Maxx

I LOVE some TJ's. This is a relatively new addiction of mine. See, I have really only been crazy about it for the last year or so. They have everything!! Great deals and very reasonable. If they don't have what you are looking for, come back on Tuesday and they will have another shipment in. How fabulous is that?! Love T.J. Maxx.

Favorite TV Show

Can I have 2? I really have 2 favorites!

Check out Nashville online!

I LOVE both of these shows. Seriously! Maybe I am a little partial to Nashville because I live so close and have been to some of the places that are the set. I don't know but I truly enjoy it. Oh and I love Connie Britton and want to be her when I grow up. Maybe that has something to do with it. (Loved her in the Friday Night Lights series also).

Parenthood is another small obsession I have. My principal introduced it to me and I just can't get enough. I have the first 3 seasons on DVD and have been playing catch up so I am ready for season 4. I really love this show because it is REAL. They have real problems and real reactions. I dig this show majorly. If you haven't check it out, YOU MUST!

Favorite Sweet Treat
If you know me, you know I am not a huge sweets person. If I had to choose, though, I would say:

Chocolate peanut butter ice cream! YUMMMM. When I am in the mood for something sweet,  I will always choose chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Can't go wrong.

Favorite Food

Grilled cheese has been my favorite food for years and years. I know it's such a little kid food but I just love it! I have been out of my parents house for several years and have yet to find a better "Grilled cheeser" than my dad. Man, he makes a killer grilled cheese sandwich. Yummo!

Favorite Restaurant

This is another favorite I have had for years and years. We do not have a Chipotle in my town so whenever I visit my friends in NC or Ohio I must get my Chipotle fix. Seriously. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. I love the burrito bowl because, well, the burrito itself makes me look like a fool trying to eat it. So, I stick to the bowl. If you haven't tried Chipotle, give it a whirl. I don't think you will regret it!

Alright, now it's your turn! I want to hear all about your favorites. Be sure to link up and share all the good stuff!

Oh yes.... and if you haven't already go to my TPT store and grab all your poetry needs for 4th and 5th grade. Happy National Poetry month to you!

  1. I like to shop at TJ Maxx too. Parenthood is such a great show, my husband got me hooked since we can relate to some of the story lines. I now have to try that ice cream! I love peanut butter cups.

  4. Haha funny you say that about seeing a teacher in the grocery store- as I was leaving the gym this morning my loudest, most talkative kid walked in with his dad... and was too shy to say hello!!! And this kid is 11! Isn't it so funny how as soon as they see you out of the world they're used to you being in they freak out!

I just found your blog and am your latest follower. I teach year six in New Zealand (which is equivalent to fifth grade in the States) and I see you mentioned some fourth and fifth grade poetry resources- I'll have to go check them out!
